May 12 Board Meeting: Special Session

Monday May 12 the SGCS board will hold a special session in order to vote on the non-renewal of teachers contract for special education teacher Mrs. Schubert. During the meeting tonight (May 5) she had an opportunity to defend herself and make her case for her job. Please plan to attend this public vote. It is important community members continue to attend school board meetings.

National Teacher Appreciation Week

May 5th -9th is National Teacher Appreciation Week, show our teachers how much we appreciate their dedication and hard work.

Be reminded that comments are moderated. We intend for the green campaign to remain as positive as possible. We're all working together for a better education for the children of our community. Wear green, display green and support our cause.

Emailing Teachers at School: For Individual Student Education Purposes Only

Please make sure that when you are emailing a SGCS teacher, you discuss your student's education and nothing else.  This is so very important.  If you would like to discuss program elimination, school board concerns or administration issues, please find another avenue to do so.  The school email addresses for teachers should NOT be used for these topics.  Thank you in advance for your sensitivity regarding this topic. 

IMPORTANT....

During Monday's school board meeting, the superintendent’s contract will be reviewed or renewed, not sure exactly, but the topic is on the agenda.
